Paying every month and the balance barely moves?
You're not bad with money. Minimum payments are built to keep you paying for years. What most families are missing isn't discipline. It's a plan they can see.
Example family: $26,500 in cards and a car loan
Minimums only
5 years and 7 months
$10,850 in interest
With a plan and $150 extra a month
3 years and 1 month
$4,362 less interest
Illustration using the example numbers in the spreadsheet. Your results depend on your own numbers.

Is it for you?
It's for you if
- You have credit cards or loans and want a clear plan to pay them off.
- You want to see where your money goes each month without an app watching your bank account.
- You're okay typing numbers into a spreadsheet, or willing to learn with the example.
It's not
- Credit repair. It doesn't fix or dispute anything on your credit report.
- Financial advice. It's a tool to organize your own numbers and decisions.
- An app or a subscription. It's a spreadsheet you own and keep.

Questions
Do I need Excel?
No. It works in free Google Sheets, and in Microsoft Excel if you have it. You get both versions.
Can I use it on my phone?
You can view and update it in the Google Sheets app. Setting it up the first time is easier on a computer.
Does it connect to my bank?
No. You type your own numbers. Nothing is linked to your bank and nobody sees your data but you.
Is it a subscription?
No. You pay once and keep it.
Snowball or avalanche: which one should I pick?
The one you'll stick with. Avalanche usually saves a little more interest. Snowball gets you quick wins. The spreadsheet shows both, so you can compare with your own numbers.
Will this fix my credit score?
No. Libreta Money is a budgeting and payoff planning tool. It is not credit repair and makes no promises about your credit score.
What if it's not for me?
Reply to your receipt email within 14 days and tell us what isn't working. We'll help you fix it, or refund you if it's still not for you.
